Dividend Stocks: Public sector coal mining company Coal India released its financial results on Friday, October 25. Coal India said that in the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25, its net profit fell 22 per cent to Rs 6,289.10 crore. While in the second quarter of the last financial year, the net profit of the company was Rs 8,048.60 crore. Along with this, the company’s revenue also fell by 6.4 per cent during this period to Rs 30,672.90 crore, which was Rs 32,776 crore in the second quarter of the last financial year. However, despite the poor results, Coal India has declared a huge dividend for its shareholders.

An interim dividend of Rs 15.75 will be given for each share with a face value of Rs 10.

Coal India said in an exchange filing that the company’s board of directors declared the first interim dividend for the financial year 2024-25. The board has declared a dividend of Rs 15.75 for each share with a face value of Rs 10. The company has also set the record date for dividend payments. The company said the record date for interim dividend of Rs 15.75 has been set for Tuesday, November 5. Dividend money will be sent to shareholders’ bank accounts on November 24.

A good rise in the company’s shares is observed on Wednesday.

Wednesday sees a good rise in Coal India shares. At 11.01 am today, the company’s shares were trading at Rs 452.45 with an increase of Rs 6.85 (1.54%). The company’s shares, which closed at Rs 445.60 on Tuesday, opened today higher at Rs 447.10. At 11.01 am, the company’s shares had swung between an intraday low of Rs 445.15 and an intraday high of Rs 455.70. The current market capitalization of the company is Rs 2,79,818.68 crore.
