Digital arrest: The 115th episode of Prime Minister Modi’s show Mann Ki Baat was aired on Sunday. During this, many issues were discussed with Prime Minister Modi. One of these issues was Digital Arrest, which has been a cause of concern throughout the country for quite some time. Now, in view of the increasing cases of tax fraud through digital arrests in the country, the Ministry of Home Affairs has constituted a high-level committee. This committee will monitor the investigation of the agency or police involved investigating digital arrest cases.

In which states did digital arrest incidents occur?

The Special Secretary of Internal Security will be the head of this committee. In which reports from the states will be taken. In which states have incidents of digital arrest occurred? How many incidents have occurred? Has any action been taken in this regard? This committee will handle all the reports, examine them and then find the solution.

More than 6,000 complaints about digital arrest registered

Let us tell you that this year more than 6,000 complaints of digital detention have been registered. 6 lakh mobile phones have been involved in cyber fraud and digital arrest incidents, which have been blocked by the MHA’s cyber wing. Wing has also blocked 709 mobile apps so far. Along with this, 1 lakh 10 thousand IMEIs involved in cyber fraud were blocked and 3.25 lakh fake bank accounts were frozen.
