The Yogi Adityanath government has declared Diwali holiday on November 1 with the condition that government offices remain open as normal days on November 9 next Saturday.

Previously, only October 31 was declared a holiday in the state. But now, along with this, November 1 has also been declared a holiday. An order has also been issued in this regard. In such a situation, there will be a holiday in the state for two days. Let us tell you that this time Diwali will be celebrated in many states including UP from the evening of October 31 to 6 pm on November 1. So the Yogi government gave leave to the employees on November 1.

Here, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which manages the Ram temple in Ayodhya, has decided not to use Chinese decorative items during Diwali to promote local craft skills. The city of Ayodhya is gearing up for a grand festival of lights this year. This will be the eighth edition of the event and the first after the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in January. The temple premises will also be decorated with lamps and other items.

According to a statement issued in the media, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has banned the use of Chinese decorative items during Diwali. It promoted local crafts and is in tune with the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative and the move towards a self-reliant India.

Police said around 10,000 security personnel will be on duty to maintain security during the Depotsav event and about half of them will be in plain clothes. When asked about the decision not to use Chinese decorative elements for the Ram temple, Ayodhya commissioner Gaurav Dayal said that basically we want to use only those elements that are indigenous and local.
