Badnera mounting seat: Assembly elections have been announced in Maharashtra and all political parties have started a vigorous campaign. There are a total of 288 seats in the state assembly whose voting will take place on November 20, 2024, while the counting of votes will take place on November 23, 2024. Teosa assembly seat is also one of these 288 seats in Maharashtra. The Teosa assembly seat falls in Amravati district. There are a total of eight assembly seats in Amravati district, of which Teosa also has one seat.

As per Delimitation Order 2008, Teosa assembly constituency is Teosa tehsil, Morshi tehsil (part), revenue division: Ner Pinglai and Dhamangaon, Amravati tehsil (part), revenue division: Shirala, Mahuli Jahangir, Nandgaon Peth and Valgaon and Bhatkuli tehsil (part, Revenue Division: consists of Ashti and Kholapur of Amravati district. Talking about population, as per 2011 census, the population of Toosa was 12,486. It consists of 52% males and 48% women. The average literacy rate in the region is 77%, of which 54% of men and 46% of women are literate.

2019 election results

Congress candidate Yashomati Chandrakant Thakur won the 2019 assembly elections. He got a total of 76218 votes. Chandrakant Thakur got 43.9% of the votes. Shiv Sena’s Rajesh Shriram Wankhade came second with 65,857 votes.

2014 election results

Congress candidate Yashomati Thakur (Sonaven) won the 2014 assembly elections. He secured a total of 58,808 votes, taking 34.6 per cent of the votes. While BJP candidate Nivedita Dighde Chaudhary came second. Chaudhary got a total of 38,367 votes.
