Delhi seniors not getting benefits of Ayushman scheme, BJP MPs petition High Court

Ayushman Bharat Scheme.

All BJP MPs from Delhi have approached the Delhi High Court to provide benefits of Ayushman, the central government’s healthcare scheme, to senior citizens of Delhi. A petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court on behalf of BJP MPs, seeking directions from the Central Government to implement the plan of providing free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh to people above 70 years of age in Delhi.

The petition says that the Delhi government has not implemented this central government health scheme, while the Prime Minister himself has expressed concern that senior citizens of Delhi will not be able to get the benefits of this scheme.

State president Virendra Sachdeva in a press conference on Wednesday accused former CM Arvind Kejriwal of depriving thousands of eligible people in Delhi of the Centre’s health insurance scheme.
