The Food Department team raided a factory in Kudaghat area of ​​Gorakhpur, where thick noodles and tomato sauce were being prepared amidst heavy filth. Deputy Food Commissioner Dr Sudhir Kumar Singh said that in this factory called Total Food Products, banned chemicals were used to make noodles and gravy, which is extremely harmful to health.

The team recovered from the factory 6 thousand kg of noodles in poor condition, 200 kg of tomato sauce loaded with chemicals, 70 bags of flour of 50 kg each, 300 packages of loose noodles, 1 drum of ammonium sulfite, 3 drums of 50-50 liters of chemicals, 20 kg of sodium benzoate and other harmful substances have been recovered. These noodles and sauce would be used to make chow mein.

The noodles and tomato sauce were made in the dirt.

The conditions in the factory were so bad that these food products were prepared there among cobwebs and a lot of dirt. Consumption of these chemicals can damage the liver and kidneys and can also cause serious damage to other body systems. A large quantity of noodles and tomato sauce laden with banned chemicals were supplied from this factory to the surrounding districts of Bihar, including the Gorakhpur-Basti division.

The Food Department has closed the factory and a search is underway for the owner. Dr. Sudhir Kumar Singh has appealed to the public to avoid these harmful products as they can be extremely harmful to health. Police registered the case and started investigation.
