PM Modi inaugurates and lays foundation stone of projects in Ekta Nagar.

Ekta Nagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday visited the world’s largest statue ‘Statue of Unity’ at Ekta Nagar in Narmada district of Gujarat. During his visit, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several projects worth Rs 284 crore as well as tourist attraction sites. Let us tell you that the Prime Minister is on a 2-day visit to Gujarat and will participate in the National Unity Day celebrations during his stay in the state. October 31, the birth anniversary of the country’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, is celebrated as National Unity Day.

Inauguration of a 50-bed subdistrict hospital

After reaching Ekta Nagar, situated around 200 kilometers from Ahmedabad, Modi inaugurated several new projects, including a sub-district hospital, a smart bus stand, a 4 MW solar project and two ‘ICUs on wheels’. The Prime Minister also inaugurated a new 50-bed sub-district hospital at a cost of Rs 22 million. The official statement said the hospital has a trauma centre, a gynecological operation theatre, a ‘minor operation theatre’, a CT scan facility, an ICU, a delivery room, a physiotherapy room, a medical warehouse and an ambulance.

4 MW solar project was also inaugurated

On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also inaugurated 10 smart bus stops and 10 pick-up points for tourists, car charging points and a running track for State Reserve Police Force personnel at Ekta Nagar. Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated a 4 MW solar project developed at a cost of Rs 23.26 crore to promote renewable energy. On the occasion, Modi laid the foundation stone of a Rs 75-crore sewage treatment plant in Ekta Nagar that will manage the disposal of sewage from around 4,000 houses, government quarters and other hotel establishments.

PM also laid the foundation stone of the Bonsai Garden

Furthermore, the foundation stone of the fire brigade staff residential area and the Sardar Sarovar Dam Experience Center was also laid during the Prime Minister’s visit. Prime Minister Modi also laid the foundation stone of a bonsai garden aimed at promoting sustainable development and biodiversity conservation. (Language)
