Ramgarh: Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishore on Wednesday urged the people of Bihar not to support political parties in the name of ‘jaat’, i.e. caste, and ‘bhaat’, i.e. free ration. He told the people of Bihar that because they voted on this basis, the state has been backward for a long time. Prashant Kishor was addressing a rally in Ramgarh assembly constituency, where by-elections will be held next month. Addressing the people, he claimed that the governments in power in Bihar so far, as well as the Narendra Modi government at the Centre, have ignored his home state of Bihar.

‘If you want a better future for children…’

Prashant Kishore alleged that ‘Lalu and Nitish kept the entire Bihar trapped in a ‘caste’ for 35 years. For the last 10 years, Modi has been cheating you in exchange for 5 kg of ‘bhaat’. If you want a better future for yourself and your children, then you should stop voting for ‘Jat’ and ‘Bhat’. Kishor appealed to people not to vote for the BJP, “which has made it clear that it will support the current Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for another term after the assembly elections due next year.”

‘…then this will strengthen Nitish Kumar’s hands’

Prashant Kishor alleged, “The terror of criminals during the Lalu era has been replaced by the terror of unbridled bureaucracy during Nitish’s tenure. There is confusion in the state due to the ongoing land survey. Since the use of prepaid smart meters became mandatory, people are facing huge electricity bills and their connections are disconnected without warning. He also alleged that if he supports the BJP, it will strengthen Nitish Kumar’s hands and his problems will continue.

RJD wants to retain Ramgarh seat

Let us tell you that Jan Suraj is contesting for all 4 assembly seats from Bihar where by-elections will be held on November 13. RJD wants to retain Ramgarh seat. At the same time, the BJP, which is part of the ruling NDA party in the state, is trying to win it back. Apart from Ramgarh, by-elections are being held for Imamganj, Belaganj and Tarari assembly seats in Bihar. All these seats fell vacant earlier this year as the MLAs won the Lok Sabha elections, became MPs and resigned as MLAs.
