Purushottam Valmik lived in Kuriana locality located on Marghat Road under Dabra police station. His son Vikas is addicted to drink and every day, fed up with his son’s alcoholism, disputes used to arise between them. It is said that there was a continuous fight between them for the last two days over this matter. Vikas could not tolerate his father’s displeasure. While under the influence of alcohol, he attacked his father Purushottam with a shovel. Purushottam was killed instantly in the attack. The accused fled after the incident.

Defendant arrested on information from an informant

There was chaos in the house due to Purushottam’s murder. As soon as there was information about the incident, the police rushed to the spot. After inspecting the spot, the police detained the body and sent it for autopsy. He also set the path and began the discussion. During the investigation, the police were actively searching for the accused Vikas Valmik. Meanwhile, based on the information received from the informant, the police raided the place indicated by him and nabbed the accused Vikas. After preliminary interrogation of the accused, the police recovered the weapon used in the crime. Currently, the police produced the accused Vikas Valmik before the court, from where the court sent him to jail.
