Bhubaneswar News, (Aaj Samaj), New Delhi: The annual All India Directors General of Police (DGP) and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Conference will begin from today. This conference to be held in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, is likely to discuss issues of internal security, Jammu-Kashmir and Khalistan and other issues.
Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah will also participate.
According to officials, around 250 senior officials of the DGP and IGP will attend the conference. More than 200 officers of the same rank will participate virtually in the program. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, among others, will attend. According to Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, the Prime Minister will reach Bhubaneswar tonight. He will remain in Bhubaneswar till noon on December 1.
The conference will last three days.
Officials said the conference will last three days. He said the program is also expected to look at cybercrime, the challenges posed by artificial intelligence tools and the threats posed by drones. The designated officials will make presentations on specific topics such as counter-terrorism, online fraud, drug trafficking, cross-border terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, activities of pro-Khalistan groups and left-wing extremism (LWE), an official said.
