Ayodhya. A case of murder of a woman came to light in the Baba Bazar police station area. One person was arrested in the case based on complaints from the deceased’s relatives. During police interrogation, the accused confessed to his crime.
Rural Superintendent of Police Balbant Choudhary said some families of laborers were living by erecting tin sheds at Guddu Ki Bagh of Baba Bazar area of the police station. Information was received at the police station that someone had killed and injured a woman. The police reached the spot and took him to CHC where doctors declared him brought dead. Relatives of deceased Kanti Devi, 22, expressed suspicions about Rajesh, a laborer who lived with them. The police detained Rajesh and questioned him. Rajesh told the police that he wanted to marry the late Kanti Devi. But the accused didn’t like her talking to anyone else. So there was also a dispute two days ago. In the same dispute, the accused hit the deceased on the head with an iron bar.
