The accused made a fake video tying him to a tree
A shocking case has come to light in Hariyamunda village under Nandpur police station in Koraput district of Odisha. Here a man along with two of his associates murdered his wife in a deserted place. After this, his associates tied him to a tree and made a fake video of him. Later, a complaint was filed with the police because some miscreants tied him to a tree and killed his wife.
What story did the husband tell?
Actually, a complaint was filed on behalf of Mahendra Khara that when he and his wife Savitri Khara were returning after updating their Aadhaar card, they were attacked by miscreants. Following this, the miscreants allegedly tied Mahendra to a tree and brutally murdered his wife Savitri in front of his eyes and then fled after looting her jewellery. This incident occurred in Nandpur police station area on Monday night. Mahendra created this story to keep himself safe, so that no one could doubt him.
Suspicion fell on the husband during the investigation
Once information about the incident was received, the police arrived at the scene and began investigations. An injured Mahendra was admitted to the hospital and the woman’s body was sent for an autopsy. The police registered the case and launched an investigation and started collecting evidence with the forensic team. The police accelerated the search for the accused and began trying to find out the reasons for the incident, in which the possibility of personal rivalry, robbery and other angles were also considered. During the investigation, the police began to suspect the husband. When the police arrested the husband and questioned him, he confessed that he had murdered his wife. The Nandpur police arrested Mahendra along with his two associates and are investigating further.
There was discord between the two
The sub-divisional police officer of Nandpur police station said, “There was a rift between Mahendra and his wife Savitri for a long time. Yesterday, on some pretext, Mahendra took Savitri out. As soon as he left the house, Mahendra called his colleagues.As soon as Mahendra and Savitri reached a deserted place, he along with his associates made a fake video so that he and his associates could stay out of the circle of suspicion. When we interrogated Mahendra, we were suspicious of his answers. that he and his two associates had committed murder.” Police arrested Mahendra and his two associates. The police have imposed Section 103 of the BNS on the arrested accused and are investigating further. (Report: Shubham Kumar)
