A new revelation has come to light in the case of lawyer Anjali’s murder last year in Meerut’s TP Nagar police station area. Neeraj Sharma, who was released on bail in this case, lodged a complaint with the police and alleged that her in-laws and her husband were involved in Anjali’s murder.
Neeraj says that Anjali’s in-laws had promised him Rs 20 lakh and five shops if he managed to kill Anjali. In his complaint, he said that Anjali’s father-in-law Pawan Gupta, mother-in-law Sarla Gupta, her husband Nitin Gupta and another friend Dushyant Sharma called him several times and pressured him to kill Anjali.
The in-laws had murdered the lawyer
Apart from this, Neeraj said that a few days before the incident, he was called to Pawan Gupta’s shop, where Anjali’s in-laws told him to kill. Anjali claims that she has given some audio and video recordings to the police in this regard. Images have also been presented that may confirm his claims.
Neeraj further said that before Anjali’s murder, Pawan Gupta had continuously given him Anjali’s location over phone and remained in touch even at the time of murder. He is now demanding that the police take concrete action against his relatives in this matter.
The accused came to the police station after not receiving the money for the betel nut.
On this matter, Ayush Vikram of Meerut city SP has said that the police will re-investigate the matter and if any truth is found in Neeraj’s claims, strict action will be taken against the accused concerned.
