Whenever Rahul Gandhi sees a political menu, he searches for one name with great intensity: Gautam Adani. The funny thing is that they often have that opportunity. Whatever the excuse, whenever the issue of businessman Gautam Adani comes up, he gets angry with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP.
The special thing is that this time the veteran leader of Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar, has also come to light. Rahul Gandhi easily targets Sharad Pawar even by mentioning his name in his speech, and amid the recent elections, circumstances have become such that Sharad Pawar is in the hot seat.
Why did Sharad Pawar become Rahul Gandhi’s target?
Sharad Pawar has been put in the hot seat by his nephew Ajit Pawar, and Rahul Gandhi has easily had the opportunity to raise questions. Recently, Ajit Pawar claimed in an interview that many high-level meetings were held in Delhi on Maharashtra politics.
Ajit Pawar says, ‘Amit Shah, Gautam Adani, Praful Patel, Fadnavis and Pawar Saheb… all were there.
Ajit Pawar, in fact, is narrating the incident when he became deputy CM of Maharashtra for a few hours with BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis. He is still Deputy CM, but Devendra Fadnavis became Chief Minister during the same period, and this is in 2019.
But later, Ajit Pawar returned after putting public pressure on Sharad Pawar. Once Devendra Fadnavis also made a similar statement. It was said that everything happened with the knowledge of Sharad Pawar. Now Ajit Pawar also says the same thing, and what needs to be understood is that Sharad Pawar also admits in the interview to have attended the meeting.
When you try to find out from Ajit Pawar why Sharad Pawar did this despite the ideological disagreement with the BJP, he does not give any reason. Ajit Pawar says, “Pawar Saheb is a leader whose mind no one in the world can read.” And he even explains that neither his first cousin Supriya Sule, nor his aunt, i.e. Supriya’s mother, can even guess how to read his mind.
In the conversation, Ajit Pawar also made it clear that no one cares about ideology in Maharashtra politics, only power is important for everyone.
BJP on target, ask Sharad Pawar too
Rahul Gandhi does not mention Sharad Pawar’s name at all in his speech. But we definitely raised questions about the meeting that Sharad Pawar attended. Rahul Gandhi has been raising these kinds of questions since 2014, ever since the BJP-led government was formed at the Centre. Previously their motto used to be Suit-Boot ki Sarkar.
This meeting is said to have taken place at businessman Gautam Adani’s house in Delhi, but Rahul Gandhi’s speech, along with Adani, also included the name of another businessman, Mukesh Ambani.
Rahul Gandhi’s direct accusation is that his government was taken away from the people of Maharashtra… Adani was present at the meeting that took place to overthrow the government.
It begs the question: why was Adani sitting at that political meeting?
And then, they also explain, they sat down because they wanted Dharavi… Then this same government handed over Dharavi to Adani.
Rahul Gandhi says, this is the truth…this is not the people of Maharashtra…this is Adani’s government…Adani has bought his government.
While talking about Adani-Ambani at the Nanded rally, Rahul Gandhi refers to inflation and unemployment. It is said that there is unemployment in the country, inflation is increasing, but Adani and Ambani are not suffering any loss… their wealth is increasing… airport, roads, port… and now Dharavi too… You are suffering losses.
The problem is that Rahul Gandhi is asking questions to the BJP taking Adani’s name, but when it comes to Congress leaders like Ashok Gehlot or Revanth Reddy, he takes a different line: Rahul Gandhi is likely to topple the Maharashtra government. raising doubts, he might be healing Uddhav Thackeray’s wounds a little, but it also seems that like Ashok Gehlot and Revanth Reddy, he wants to give the benefit of the doubt to Sharad Pawar.
