Thackeray and Sharad Pawar ready to teach their respective rebels a lesson
The checkmate game has begun in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. As the names of the candidates of the political parties become known, the political situation also becomes clearer. Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar have not been able to forget the pain of division in their respective parties. In such a situation, Uddhav now wants to settle scores with Eknath Shinde, while Sharad Pawar is determined to teach a political lesson to his nephew Ajit Pawar. Uddhav and Sharad have now created a tremendous maze against Shinde and Ajit to show their political power.
Eknath Shinde, who became Chief Minister after ousting Uddhav Thackeray, is once again trying his luck from his traditional Kopri-Pachpakhadi assembly seat. Uddhav Thackeray has made Kedar Dighe, nephew of veteran Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe, a candidate to corner Shinde in his own house. Similarly, Ajit Pawar, who bagged the NCP along with Sharad Pawar, once again contested the elections from the Baramati assembly seat. Sharad Pawar has laid siege to Ajit by sending his grandson Yugendra Pawar to settle political scores with Ajit.
Uddhav made a big bet against Shinde
The Kopri-Pachpakhadi headquarters of Thane district of Maharashtra has acquired a high profile. CM Eknath Shinde is contesting the elections on Shivsena ticket, from where he has been an MLA for three consecutive terms. Uddhav Thackeray has taken a big political step by giving his Shiv Sena ticket to Kedar Dighe, nephew of veteran Shiv Sena leader late Anand Dighe, against Shinde. This is the same Anand Dighe through whose finger Eknath Shinde entered politics. Shinde described the late Anand Dighe as his political guru and emphasized his devotion to the ideology of Bal Thackeray.

After suffering political damage, Uddhav Thackeray has sent Kedar Dighe to carry forward Anand Dighe’s political legacy and counter Eknath Shinde’s politics. Anand Dighe’s name was among the leaders closest to Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray. Anand Dighe advanced Bal Thackeray’s Hindutva and Marathi identity. He began his political career as a Shiv Sena worker, impressed by the fact that Thackeray gave him the responsibility of building the party in Thane.
After taking over the responsibility of Shiv Sena Thane district president, Ananj Dighe started living in the party office. Dighe had a strong grip on the local Shiv Sena unit. He had hoisted the Shiv Sena flag in Thane area. After the death of Anand Dighe, Eknath Shinde was given the command of the Shiv Sena. Uddhav Thackeray gave him the number two status in Shiv Sena. But when Shinde wrested Shiv Sena from Uddhav, Uddhav Thackeray handed over the reins to Anand Dighe’s nephew in Thane and has now fielded Kedar Dighe in the elections against CM Shinde.
Can Shinde defeat Kedar Dighe?
Eknath Shinde Choudhary has once again contested the elections from the Kopri-Pachpakhadi assembly seat, but this time the situation is different. Shinde definitely has the support of the BJP and Ajit Pawar’s NCP, but Uddhav Thackeray wants to teach him a lesson. That is why Uddhav has fielded Anand Dighe’s nephew Kedar as his candidate against Shinde, who is supported by the Shiv Sena (UBT), the Congress and Sharad Pawar’s NCP(S). Because of this, the competition has become quite interesting.
CM Shinde has won the last three elections and got more than one lakh votes twice. This time it remains to be seen whether Shinde will be able to compete with Kedar Dighe or will be defeated by Uddhav Thackeray’s movement.
Pawar vs Pawar again in Baramati
NCP chief and deputy CM Ajit Pawar is contesting from the Baramati assembly seat in Maharashtra. Sharad Pawar has fielded his grandson Yugendra Pawar of the Indian Alliance against Ajit Pawar. Due to Ajit Pawar, who wrested the reins of the NCP from Sharad Pawar, there was not only a political contest between Pawar against Pawar but also between sister-in-law and sister-in-law in the Baramati seat in the Lok Sabha elections. Ajit had then fielded his wife Sunetra Pawar but was defeated by his sister-in-law and Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule in a direct contest. In this way, Sharad Pawar had ruined Ajit Pawar’s political plans.
After four months in Baramati, the stage is once again set for a fight between the Pawar family. Sharad Pawar has given entry to his grandson Yugendra against Ajit Pawar. Yugendra is the grandson of Sharad Pawar and son of Ajit Pawar’s brother Srinivas Pawar. Ajit Pawar’s problems have increased with Yugendra’s entry into the fray.
Ajit has won the Baramati assembly elections seven times so far, but now the road has become difficult for him for the eighth time. The Baramati elections were decided between the Pawar family. Sharad Pawar is believed to have created problems for Ajit by introducing his grandson.
Sharad will show political power to Ajit
Ajit Pawar had once entered politics holding the finger of his uncle Sharad Pawar, but in July 2023 he rebelled against Sharad Pawar. 40 NCP MLAs had joined the BJP-led NDA government. A large group of the group went with Ajit. Due to this, Sharad lost the match. Sharad Pawar calculated this by showing his strength in the Lok Sabha elections and defeated Ajit in his stronghold of Baramati.
Sharad Pawar not only made his daughter Supriya Sule win against Baramati but also defeated his western nephew in Maharashtra. Now Ajit Pawar has come out again to try his luck and Sharad Pawar has also made Pawar’s move. In this way Sharad Pawar wants to demonstrate his power once again.
Sharad Pawar’s political power says it all in the Baramati belt. Apart from Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar lost his first battle and has now returned to the field. This time, the contest has become interesting because of the way Sharad Pawar has lined up Yugendra against Ajit.
