An incident of theft has come to light in Maharashtra. An engineering student has committed this theft to pay for his studies. The Crime Branch of Navi Mumbai Police arrested the accused who robbed a mobile store to pay engineering fees.
41 phones recovered from student
The police have recovered around 41 mobile phones from the accused. Some remaining phones have not been recovered. The accused youth was produced before the police court. From where the court has remanded him in police custody till November 27. Legal action is now being taken in this matter.
Accused captured with the help of CCTV
A shopkeeper had lodged a complaint of theft and theft of 54 new mobile phones at the Panvel police station. Later, with the help of CCTV cameras installed nearby, the police identified the accused and arrested him.
I was going to pay commissions selling mobile phones
During interrogation, the accused confessed to his crime and said that he is studying engineering. He has reached his last year. He didn’t have money to pay for college, so he stole. I was going to pay the fees by selling these mobile phones.
