JNU Admission Result 2026
So, what actually is the JNU admission result? It is the final merit position derived from your exam performance and previous academic records. The university releases this data systematically across all units.
This year, A Unit has 860 seats with 72,474 applicants; B Unit has 785 seats with 79,807 applicants; C Unit has 520 seats with 20,537 applicants; D Unit has 310 seats with 70,223 applicants.
The admission test followed a standard MCQ method. Your final score isn’t just the test marks; it is a calculated formula. The total is 100 marks: 72 come from the admission test, 12 from your SSC GPA, and 16 from your HSC GPA. This 72-mark exam is the deciding factor.
JnU uses a 100-mark merit basis where the admission test is a major part and SSC/HSC GPAs are added as a smaller portion, so a strong MCQ score is the biggest lever you can control. Admission test marks are 72, and the merit list is prepared based on 100 marks (admission test 72, SSC 12, and HSC 16).
